A quiet slate-grey ground scattered with hand-drawn medallions — each a small sunburst of teal, ivory, and charcoal — builds into a bold kalamkari pallu where a single lotus opens across trailing vines. The contrast between the fine, repetitive body print and the large-format pallu motif gives this saree its character: restrained up close, dramatic when it moves.

Kalamkari is a resist-and-block printing technique rooted in Srikalahasti, Andhra Pradesh, traditionally used to render floral and mythological motifs onto cotton by hand. This piece carries that same painterly quality — the fine linework and layered colour are signatures of hand-printing, not a digital repeat.

Pairs beautifully with oxidised silver or antique gold jewellery — the cool grey base lets silver stand out without competing with the print.
